Being a photographer, I have the pleasure to work with a diverse group of individuals and businesses all looking to stand out in their respective industries. Being trusted to bring a vision to life is not only something I treasure but also something that fuels my creative fire.

The saying goes, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Ummm, yeah that's not entirely true. Doing what you love makes work feel less like work. I had quite a few jobs before becoming a full-time photographer. Each of them is tied together with a common thread. That thread is people!

My pop-up portrait studio is all about making your guests/attendees feel like they are total rock stars! These portraits are unique to each individual. They can be as simple as a solid colored backdrop or if the event calls for it a completely custom set.

Finding out about my client's needs prior to our shoot is one of my favorite parts of the process. Learning how their images will be used, what they plan to wear, the overall vibe and feeling of the photos, all of it adds up to a successful shoot and epic photos.

We all make mistakes, it's human nature, but what if I told you some of them can be avoided?! Having the right tools in place to maximize the efficiency of your business not only allows for more revenue but also gives you back something more precious ... TIME.

It's where we've all got our start! Shooting in natural light can be soft, beautiful, hard, and intense. It's how you use it that makes your image come to life. The downside about shooting outdoors in natural light is that you can't control the elements.

Imposter syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud. Admit it we've all been there at least 100 times. Whether it's professionally or even personally, imposter syndrome creeps in like a trash panda on garbage day.

I'm pretty awesome, that she wanted to get updated images done for her entire team.

Being a Headshot Photographer does not mean that your photos have to be in front of a plain backdrop to keep the focus on your client. While there's a time and place for almost anything, don't feel that you can't change up the space where your client would like to have their headshot done.

Feedback is a great way to grow both in business and in life. For a hot minute, I was forgetting to send out follow-up surveys to my clients after their images were delivered.

Photographing for e-commerce doesn't have to be complicated! Each brand, or company, may vary on how they wish to have their images taken for the web. You can never go wrong with clean and even light for product shots.

When using off-camera flash, modifiers are great for shaping and manipulating the light, but they aren't always necessary. A bare bulb, or unmodified flash, can be great to fill in shadows and even get in tight spaces.
