Celebrating the 2022 Friendship Ball in Nashville // Best Buddies of Tennessee
As many of you know, Best Buddies Tennessee is one of my absolute favorite charities that I work with. For the past 10+ years, I have had the pleasure of capturing so many amazing moments. Recently Best Buddies had a 'Friendship Ball' here in Nashville, TN. It was a great way to ease back into events and for everyone to reconnect, dance, and celebrate one another. I love working with Best Buddies and having the opportunity to capture so many smiling faces.
Lighting for the Portrait Experience portion of the event consisted of a single flash unit. My main light, was modified with a large umbrella and diffusion fabric, and was placed camera right about 45 degrees from my subject. This large spread of light provided ample coverage for individuals and groups, and it also allowed me to create both bright and moody portraits of the attendees. For the event photos I used a single speedlight directly on my camera.
