Glowing Up Event Photos // The Portrait Experience

"The difference between a great portrait and an ordinary portrait is the experience."

Providing pop-up portraits for attendees is a great way to add something unique and custom to your event.

This isn't a photo booth...

This is...

Client // Amanda Dease, Owner of Studio Dease

My pop-up portrait studio is all about making your guests/attendees feel like they are total rock stars! These portraits are unique to each individual. They can be as simple as a solid colored backdrop or if the event calls for it a completely custom set. It's perfect for everything from birthday parties to corporate events and everything in between. These creative portraits of your friends/attendees are captured on-site and delivered to them within minutes via the attendee's email.

Lighting for this shoot consisted of an off-camera flash and a constant light. My main light, a Paul C. Buff, Inc. LINK, modified with a large umbrella and diffusion fabric, was placed camera right about 45 degrees from my subject(s). This large spread of light provided ample coverage and allowed me to create moody and elegant portraits. My second light was a StellaPro Reflex. It was placed behind my canvas backdrop and pointed down slightly to provide a rim light on my subject(s). While there was no modifier used, I did add a CTO gel to give that warm glow.
