Finding Your Passion // How To Make What You Love Work For You

Client // Katie Barnes, Owner of the K Studio Workout

The saying goes, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Ummm, yeah that's not entirely true. Doing what you love makes work feel less like work. I had quite a few jobs before becoming a full-time photographer. Each of them is tied together with a common thread. That thread is people!

Spoiler alert ... I'm a people person. I know, I know, you never would have guessed it haha. But seriously every job I had, I worked with the public. I've found that what keeps me happy and fulfilled is being able to showcase people in a way they may not have seen themselves before. Photography gives me the opportunity to connect with others, hear their stories, and create something special just for them!

My client Katie Barnes found her passion in a healthy lifestyle and then shared that knowledge with those who want to become the best versions of themselves. Her joy stems from the passion she has for what she does and the lives she changes, for the better, in the process.

Below are three questions to ask yourself to help you find your passion.

1. WHAT'S SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU LIGHT UP AND YOU CAN TALK ABOUT FOR HOURS?

2. IF YOU WERE FINANCIALLY SECURE, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH YOUR TIME?

3. WHAT DO YOU FIND FULFILLING, MEANINGFUL, ENJOYABLE, AND IMPORTANT?

While photography is my outlet, it's only a fraction of my passion. My real passion is the people that I get to create portraits of!
