Nashville’s Luxury Realtor Portraits // Photos Featured in nFOCUS Magazine

It's always exciting when you get asked to contribute work for nFOCUS Magazine. I was excited to find out it was Luxury Realtor Portraits for their supplemental insert that would be included with their May 2022 issue. As always, planning is a big part of making the final project a success. Once I had the green light on the project, I worked with the publisher, Jennifer Trsinar Jezewski, to provide her with the overall concept and look I was wanting to create and make sure it coincided with what she was wanting to showcase in the issue.

Assembling a great team is always high on my priority list, especially when creating Nashville's Top Luxury Realtor Portraits. this project was no exception. I worked with wardrobe stylist, Emily Goodin, to discuss wardrobe with some of the realtors we would be photographing. This not only took some pressure off of me as a photographer but also allowed Emily to get creative and work with the needs of each client and the overall aesthetic of what the final images would look like.

Finding a space that was unique, versatile, and convenient could be seen as a bit of a challenge, but thankfully there are a lot of great options in Nashville. Collective 615, provided the perfect backdrop to spotlight the realtors in a styled and sophisticated way.

When working with a publication, digital or print, it's important to ask as many questions as possible leading how to the shoot. How will the images be used? Do you prefer vertical or horizontal images? What is your in-hands date for image delivery? etc. The questions help you get a game plan in place to allow you to focus on what you are shooting the day of and keep the flow going.

The lighting for this session was simple. I took advantage of the beautiful natural light in the space and added in a single flash to give the images a bit more of a pop! While things changed a bit depending on the subject or their location in the space, I primarily modified my flash with either the MagMod MagBox Pro 24 Octa or the MagBox Pro 42 Octa.
