When your business is making people smile, it's only fitting that you shine a light on someone who helps make pearly whites the best that they can be! Dr. Dennis Wells, and his team over at Nashville Aesthetic Dentistry, had done a pretty hefty remodel to the office and were looking to not only show off the space but the staff that's just as amazing. It's not every day that you go to a dentist that has a café inside and y'all know this girl loves her coffee, so I was living my best life. With high-end clients, like the one-and-only Dolly Parton, the branding images needed to be top-notch, approachable, and highlight the new additions to the space along with the staff.

The headshots, portraits, and office images were to have a more lifestyle/editorial feel, rather than a more traditional look. Having a stylist and hair/makeup artist added the extra polish we needed to take these images to the next level. The images of the office were bright, inviting, and enticing. We wanted to show not only that it was a professional environment, but also a really unique space (hello ... café!!).

My lighting for these images wasn't anything too crazy and also varied a bit as we moved around the office! Something that I love to do when mixing in artificial light with the ambient, is to bounce my light off of a white wall or ceiling. Correctly bouncing the light, without a modifier, fills up the space with nice even light. Be sure when bouncing your light that you aren't bouncing off of any intrusive colors that could leave a weird color cast on your subject.
