Celebrating women is almost as much of my jam as doing headshots, so when Heels and Handshakes had a luncheon on International Women’s Day, I knew it would be a fantastic opportunity for me to give back to some really stellar ladies! I’ve been a member of Heels for a few years now, and I have to say it’s the best networking group that I’ve ever been a part of! Not only is it a supportive group of talented women, and men (hello Allies and Bowties!), the educational events, and social gatherings are always super beneficial. Taking time during this year’s luncheon to provide members with updated headshots in a beautiful space (Margaritaville Hotel Nashville) provided a smile on everyone’s face … literally haha!!
It’s always great to utilize natural light when you can and the light in the space that day was ::chef’s kiss:: but I wanted these headshots to have a little extra somethin’ somethin’. To make these beautiful women pop in the headshots, I used a Godox AD600 Strobe and modified it with a white umbrella to keep things soft and even.
You can check out my setup below. Since I didn’t have an assistant this day, I tried to keep things easy on myself by using the Cheetah Rolling Boom Stand. By doing that I was able to take about 3 images per person in 2 mins or less. So while I did take 36 people’s portraits that day, I delivered about 90 images!!!!
Overall, I had a really fantastic time working with all these wonderful women, and can’t wait to do it again. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon doing some meaningful work and delivering professional headshots.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE LADIES WHO PARTICIPATED.
I LOVED TAKING YOUR PHOTO
